Description
Pure Korean sesame oil adds a nutty aroma and deep toasted flavour to classic Korean dishes, from bibimbap to bulgogi. This amber-coloured oil is made entirely from sesame seeds with an intense, nutty, buttery flavour – a great finishing oil.
Drizzle this sesame oil over pork and chicken before BBQing, pour a little over rice, or mix with salt and pepper for a dipping sauce. This sesame oil is a key ingredient when making yakgwa, a traditional Korean sweet, shaped into a flower. Made with honey, sake and sesame oil, the cookies are deep-fried and soaked in a ginger syrup.
