Short Dated Ebara Sukiyaki Sauce – Seasoning for Hot Pot, 240ml

Ebara sukiyaki sauce is a flavourful seasoning for Japanese hot pot. It’s made with premium soy sauce, mirin and umami-rich bonito flakes. The sauce is rich and aromatic with an authentic Japanese flavour. 

Sukiyaki is a Japanese dish prepared in the nabemono (hot pot) style. Thinly sliced beef, tofu, vegetables and noodles are added to the sweet-savoury broth.

How to use Ebara sukiyaki sauce:

1. Heat a little oil or butter in a pan and fry sliced beef until lightly cooked.
2. Add 300ml of sukiyaki sauce and your chosen ingredients. (We recommend tofu, spring onions, mushrooms and shirataki noodles).
3. Adjust the strength of the sauce by diluting it with water or dashi.

The sauce has the perfect balance of sweet mirin and salty soy sauce. Bonito flakes add a note of smoky, savoury umami.

For a plant-based version, swap the beef for thinly sliced oyster mushrooms. Ready in minutes, Ebara sukiyaki sauce is a great way to enjoy Japanese flavours at home.
